A new award by the David Doig Foundation will enable students from Scotland's Rural Colleges to maximise their potential by moving into higher education. It will also support leaders of the future by enabling student leaders to run peer support groups to run community-building events, organise study groups and create useful resources.
SRUC do some great work and these awards will reflect the fundamental aims of the David Doig Foundation, i.e. to educate, inspire, build confidence, develop key skills and enhance employability. The new bursary and leadership programmes will support students studying in the curricular areas of horticulture, garden design, conservation, wildlife, animal care and golf based in the Cupar campus.
